Charlie Zicari is a writer/producer, originally hailing from Middle-of-Nowhere, Kentucky (for reasons he'll question later in therapy) and currently living in Burbank, California.
He started his career as an actor in New York City, studying Musical Theatre at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, then decided to pursue his B.F.A. in Screenwriting at The New School upon seeing "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and realizing: If he were to write down word-for-word what his southern relatives would say around the dinner table, then he might have a shot in show business after all.
Since then, Charlie has interned at the offices of "Live! With Kelly and Michael," worked as the Production Assistant for "Ragtime" at Lincoln Center, served as the Script Supervisor at Second Stage Theatre, as well as produced several musicals and new works for his production company, Life in Luggage Productions.
Most recently, Charlie was brought on as the Creative Development Executive Assistant for Tony Award-nominated Broadway Director, Jeff Calhoun, which led to his involvement with “Disney’s Newsies,” Jodi Picoult’s “Between the Lines,” and Stephen King’s “Ghost Brothers of Darkland County” — just to name a few.
Charlie is currently a Film Development Intern at BOLD Films, as well as developing his film and television projects under the umbrella of Googie Burbank Productions alongside his writing partner, Tony Award-winner, Anthony Crivello, and Joey Tuccio and his incredible team at Roadmap Writers.
